TENNIS KENYA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS PERFORMANCE. Tennis in Nairobi

Tennis in Nairobi, Kenya, is growing as a result of professional training, and the month of April 2024 saw the young players from Bumblebee Tennis Academy put on fantastic performances at the Tennis Kenya National Championships. For our players, this year’s competition represented a number of important turning points:

Ashlyn Leisha, who celebrated her 10th birthday on April 5, 2024, courageously entered her inaugural under-12 tournament. Despite facing a formidable opponent in Malia, she demonstrated remarkable resilience, bowing out in the second round after a hard-fought match.

Zarina Ng’enoh demonstrated her increasing skill on the court by making it to her first-ever semi-finals in the 14 and under girl’s division.

Zuena Ng’enoh gracefully exited the tournament in the second round following a fiercely contested match against Gracious.

Naima Bryant, on the contrary, delivered a captivating performance against a seasoned opponent. However, victory eluded her grasp as the match slipped away.

Lewis Martin, holding the second rank, smoothly sailed into the finals of the under-12 boys’ category. Despite his valiant efforts, he was defeated by Indiatsi, the highest-ranked player in that division.

Mungai Ngaruiya, just 6 years old, displayed remarkable skill by securing the second position in his debut 8 and under tournament.

Jasmine Hope, who is 6 years old, too had an easy ride to victory, winning her first 8 and under title thanks to a smooth draw.

Ultimately, Tunu Githinji proved her tenacity and commitment by winning her first 10 and under green event, a testament to her hard work.

Amidst these outstanding performances, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Bumblebee Tennis parents for entrusting us with the future of your children’s tennis journey.
